My World Tuesday - Friendly Beaches.

I have just returned from a very wet week in Tasmania – wonderful place and really very different from the mainland of Australia. There is a real sense of wildness, and if you are lucky enough to be there outside of the Tasmanian school holidays you can have beaches like this more or less to yourself. The rain and clouds had stripped much of the colour from the landscape – but the orange of the cast up sea weeds and the lichens on the rocks were real beacons of colour. Apart from two surfers we did not see another person on this beach. The beach is called ‘Friendly Beaches’ and they are on the east coast. Will put up some more iconic images soon – but these images sum up the week – wild, wet, but still wonderful.

You can find more images of great places here or you can click on the My World Tuesday link on the RHS of the screen. You can also see at my most recent posts on my other blog by clicking on the "Paying Ready Attention" Link on the RHS of the screen.

Have a good Tuesday!

  3. If you care for completely empty beaches, try the west coast of the Eyre peninsula in S. Aust.

Mind you, Tassie' beaches are definitely great in any weather.
