The sign on top of the hotel I was staying at - the Crowne Plaza - was undergoing some renovation when I was there.
I liked the graphic elements of the arabic style script, the somewhat out of place looking garb of the workers and of course that blue, blue sky.
You can find more skies here at SkyWatch Friday.
You can find the first of my "wordy" blog posts about Oman by clicking on the Paying Ready Attention image on the RHS of the screen.
Enjoy the pictures.

Apparently, the workers enjoyed having their photo taken! I take it the sign says "Crowne Plaza"?
Great capture and apretty sky, Stewart. The workers are enjoying having their photo taken. Happy Skywatching and have a great weekend!
Fascinating, looks like an acrobatic show going on on top of the building.
Back soon to catch up here and the other blog)...

What a fun, different capture for the day and beautiful blue skies as well, Stewart!! Have a great weekend!!

Nice shot! Something to read in Arablic.
Nice shots, can't read it :)))
You left the Cotswolds for Australia?
Interesting shots!!! Because Arabic is so foreign to me, the workers look like they could be part of the sign/letters!!!
Wonderful shots! Happy sky watching.
Blue and White
Very cool!
These are great fun, Stewart. You were there at the right time, but more than that, you saw the complexity in the scene and captured it beautifully.
That is quite a different Sky photo!! Loved the capture. The workers are enjoying their day out in the sun it seems :)
Cool shots! I like that the workers are waving at you.
You are lucky they did not stone you! What, oh what are they doing up there ??
Great photos! I really like how all the workers are waving to you on the first photo. :D
Regards from Barcelona.
