11th November

As long as politicians send other peoples children to war I assume we will still need monuments like these.

Both of these monuments are in Whitehall, London.  Just up the road from the seat of government.

  1. Sadly, I think you're right. There seems to never be an end to wars.

  3. Sadly, yes, politicians are all too eager to send other people's children to fight their wars.

  5. Yet evil continues to pop up everywhere.

We can't blame those who want to fight the evil.

    It is just man's curse.

  6. Yes so very true. Wonder if the politicians would be so keen if it was theirs going out there!!

  7. I've walked past those monuments many many times. Always makes me think about those gone before us. The only positive is that we take the time to formally remember them each year. It is the only positive thing. Great pictures Stewart.

But sadly the dream is far from being a reality.

  12. Nice monuments. Your message is sad but true. Politicians are always sending the young people off to fight another war somewhere.

  15. Of all the postings I've seen this Veteran's Day (and I've seen MANY!) this is the most thought provoking.
It's good to make people think. Thank you, Stewart.
