The Pieman River 3 - Driftwood Macro

Just a brief post today - these are a couple of macro shots of the driftwood on the beach the the mouth of the Pieman River.

I considered doing these as black and white shots, but I like the hints of colour.

You can find more macro shots at Macro Monday2 and I Heart Macro.

Fun backgrounds for all kinds of different shots. Came across a gent in flikr the other day that overlays all kinds of things. Very interesting.

I agree. A photo that appears all black and white then you discover a hint of color is the way to go.

Great shots!
I particularly like the first one. It has a flow and movement to it which draws my attention from left to right and back again. An excellent capture of an expired item.

Have a good week.

I love the way the wood looks that close. I did a similar thing a few years ago with some firewood I had. It looked completely different than expected close up.
