Life between the stones

After finding the damaged cactus from last week, I was pleased to find this specimen unharmed between the stones.

I really like the contrast between the living and non-living here - it's the biologists in me surfacing!

A nice natural landscape spot! I see a lot of that here, of course, but the mixture of textures and, as you say, the living with the non-living, is always fascinating!
