Brighton 2 - Afloat

I found this sculpture in Brighton - its location is called Doughnut Groyne - and I don't know which came first, the doughnut or the name.

I liked the way I could frame the sculpture and the life-ring and it came as a surprise to me when I found out that the sculpture is actually called Afloat!

Its a nice coincidence.

You'd break your false teeth on that doughnut. I think the groin came first... ;)

That is a very unique sculpture. I quite like how it has aged.

Unique sculpture - I love the verdigris on it. I use that patina quite frequently in my jewelry designs.

Okay, you lost me here ... Coincidence? What coincidence and what is a life ring ... beside all of that I love how you framed the life ring with the big afloat donut ... the picture turned out great, but I think you went over my head with your comments:) Sorry ...

We visited the local maritime museum and watched a big ship roll into the Duluth harbor after dinner for our anniversary on Sunday.. these images fit in well with all of that! Great sculpture and clever compositions!
