Mr. H

Another week on the road beckons, so I'll organise a few posts to keep things moving along.

Here is Mr. Hudson in classic pose and location - i.e. just about to go to sleep on my bed!  The animal is a complete slacker!

You can find more macro shots at Macro Monday2  and I love macro SM

  1. Hello Mr. Hudson - You are a very handsome kitty!
Almost a browner version of our middle child, Chako!!
    Nice snap, Stewart.
    Enjoy a Great Week ahead!!

  2. Looking relaxed.
In answer, no they don't burn before harvest up here any more. It is pretty rare to see and only a select few do it. I believe further south, around Townsville and even down around Bundaburg, they still do. The turn over time for cane that has been burnt is pretty short and so they choose not to do it meaning it isn't a huge drama, just a small one, if the mill breaks down. When you do get to see it, the sugar cane burn is impressive!

  12. Hey, you don't see what goes on at night ... of course he is tired in the day time ... He is a hunter and a stalker by night and even if you don't have any little critters about for him to hunt, he will go through the motions because his brain tells him that is what cats do, Ha! What a handsome fella, Mr. Hudson is ... don't you wonder what you ever did without a cat around the house? Safe travels, Stewart and many pictures. I suspect you will lay eyes on some very interesting birds in Indonesia. I would like to have had a job like yours, travel, travel, home, travel, travel home. What a life you lead ... good for WBW that is for sure. Enjoy ...

  13. He probably thinks you're a slacker to. When have you ever caught a mouse?

  14. OH Mr H is not meant to be doing anything at all except being his handsome self. Some are just born to bring pleasure to others -- and that is enough!!!

  15. Hi Stewart. We're still trying to adjust to a home without a cat since our last one died (aged 19) over 13 months ago. Just yesterday I found myself on the point of calling out "hi, we're home!" after my wife and I returned from a morning out. We'd decided that, at our time of life, we wouldn't get another cat because it would probably outlive us - but I fear we are weakening! Seeing your wonderful image of Mr. H has further weakened my resolve. He's gorgeous!

My best wishes to you - - - - Richard
