Brighton 3

More shots from the UK this week.  On an early morning walk I was struck by these empty chairs.  I don't know why.  Something about missing my family I think.  Maybe it's something about the way that the chairs are arranged in pairs - just waiting for couples.

You can find more images from around the world at Our World Tuesday.

PS: It's school production week this week, so my attention will be else where - hence replies will be slow.

PPS: If you fancy a trip to Australia, why not have a look at my post from yesterday for an opportunity!

  1. Hello Stewart, neat captures of the beach and empty chairs. I think they are waiting for you! But mean time the gulls will enjoy the seats. Have a happy new week!

  3. Sad indeed..I am no longer a couple which somehow seems less acceptable..You are very observant.(the photographer in you).

  4. I love that first shot - it's kind of melancholy.

  5. Beach chairs always look so colorful and tempting. But as soon as I sit down in one, I want to be up and walking and looking for birds.

  11. Seeing the empty deckchairs is a reminder that Summer is almost over. A trip to Aus is very appealing but just too far.

  13. Great captures, Stewart and even a bird in the second photo. I missed joining WBW this week as we were away on the motorbike. (But I went birding with my sister-in-law and have a great post for next week!) Enjoy your day. Jo
