SkyWatch Friday - Omani Sunset (with no sun)

This is another of my occasional series of shots with no sky - this one is bending the rules a bit as I can see some sky, but the main action is off screen.

I really liked the way that the sun was catching on the building.  I gradually underexposed the shot to get the balance between the grey of the beach and the gold of the reflection.

You can find more sky shots at SkyWatch Friday.

Enjoy the pictures.

  9. Stewart that is really beautiful, i haven't been to an area like that here, because the sun is always there. The effect is so Europe-like, but the scene is not. Where is Omani?

  16. Nice photograph, Stewart! Even though the sky does not have the "leading role," I think its muted appearance completes the scene perfectly.
