Very short of time this week - so I'll just post these shots of a Willie Wagtail at, on and around its nest for this week.
Can't help but mention how you can see the green cast in the picture from all the light being reflected from the leaves around the nest. It only became really apparent when I looked at the pictures back at home!
I'd love to be able to some form of 'time lapse' of this bird (and its mate presumably) building this nest. Next year maybe!
Now it's over to you! Click the blue button and off you go.
cute little cup nest!
ReplyDeletethe link-up isn't active. will check back later.
Stewart, how delightful to see this bird on it's nest. A time lapse would be fun, too.
ReplyDeleteHope to see the little blue button. Later.
Cute little wagtail!
ReplyDeleteHow neat to have taken a photo of the nest too!
ReplyDeleteI'll be back when the link is alive.
What a neat nest. Wagtails are common here but I've never seen its nest! I'll link my post to yours tomorrow, EA time. Have a great day. Greetings Jo
ReplyDeleteI love these little birds and that is a great idea for a time lapse next year. Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteThat nest is tailored so beautifully. I get lots of green reflections from our back lawn, the white egrets, ibises and storks green bellies! No blue button yet so I will be back to see later.
ReplyDeleteI like the cute name and the pretty bird. that nest is cool! Great shots. Thanks for hosting..
ReplyDeleteI'll check back later for the link, it is closed now.
She barely fits in that nest. :O(

ReplyDeleteGreat photos of the little Willie Wagtail and the nest. I had a pair build in the big tree next door but unfortunately it came to nothing.
ReplyDeleteThat nest looks perfect.
ReplyDeleteWonderful to see Stewart...
ReplyDeleteI love these little birds !
ReplyDeleteGreat shots !
What lovely photos Stewart. The construction of the nest reminds me of a hummingbird but I'm wondering how big these are because the hummers are so tiny. Beautiful bird and I did love the photo of the one sitting on its nest.
ReplyDeleteDarling bird and the images are great.
ReplyDeleteThe link up is missing, will try again later~
Fabulous photos of the wagtail and nest! Wonderful! No linkup for some reason for the meme....
ReplyDeleteVery handsome bird and that's a fantastic nest they build!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos Stewart. Beautiful lighting. I love the excitement of watching nest building, and Willie Wagtails have such winning ways :D)
ReplyDeleteWaht a cute name for a cute bird and a cute nest ... cute post, Stewart :) Glad you are settling in at your work, desk and all. As I am on the fly today because we are getting ready for some big changes in our life style (will have more on that later), this will be an uncharateristically short comment, but don't let that fool you. I will have plenty to say when (and if) I can find the time. Have a great week ...
