Chain and Block

I found this large chain and block next to the main jetty on Lord Howe - I rather like them as black and white images.

How can it almost be the end of January already?

    Love that shot..The reflection is cool...I have to agree with you about phone shots..Love the B/W block and tackle...There are so many bloggers that take amazing shots with phones..I don't have one!!! Happy Sunday..

    I love what I call “mundane” captures of odd things that do big jobs. This is perfection and I would have chosen black and white, too. Yep...Feburary will be here tomorrow...and I am almost 77. Just a week. UGH!

    Interesting shots! The first one conjures up thoughts of old pirate ships...can't figure the block out in the second one...what was it?

    Those pictures are amazing, especially in black and white because without the color the attention is immediately drawn to the chain. Great shots!

    Looks good in B&W == we saw something like that on the beach at Homer and I remember thinking that a good photographer could make an artistic picture from it. I took a snapshot. And it looked like one. Yours is Art!
