Wild Bird Wednesday 191 - Brown Noddy

Yet more pictures from Lord Howe - I've been rather busy for much of the start of this year, so I'm glad I have a back catalogue to mine!

I'm just going to post these pictures today - and let them do the talking instead of me.

And now, for the 191st time, it's your turn.  Click on the blue button and off you go.

  2. Interesting and different birds for me. (Not that seeing 'different' here is much of a surprise). Great action -- that one noddy is really giving 'what for' to the other in one picture! And the last with the stick (it looks like a tree for the poor bird to cart around).

  6. There's little to add Stewart. A really smart looking bird. I suppose the nearest thing to Brown Noddy we have is our Black Tern.

  14. I really had a good laugh at the 3rd photo Stewart. He/she was really giving you a look of disapproval for taking the photo. Must've got out of the wrong side of the nest & not have had his/her morning coffee yet.

  32. Oh my, a classic husband and wife team ... nag nag, dirty looks then settling into working together. What an amusing bird with all of it's many looks and actually a bit handsome as well. So where do you find the Brown Noddy? Yet another bird I am not familiar with ... I am beginning to realize my ignorance but will continue to explore and enjoy just the same :)
