Wild Bird Wednesday 201 - Black Noddy

While I am on the road in places far flung and exotic, I will keep the WBW ball rolling with a couple of simple posts.

This weeks post is of one of my favourite birds, from one of my favourite places.

These are Black Noddys, on Lord Howe Island.  These pictures were taken in January 2016 and I like to think that some of these birds may be the chicks I photographed in the November 2015.  You can see the chicks here.

    Very handsome birds! I will be traveling the next 3 weeks and away from Internet for part of the time (except for some cellular iPhone service, which is of limited usefulness) so I also will put my blog on "autopilot." Have a good trip!

    I have to agree that the Black Noddy are among my favorites of your many, many posts and it is fun to think that these birds might be the babies that you posted the year before. One will never know for sure, but we can enjoy the possibility. Hope your travels continue to be safe and productive work wise and relaxation wise.
