Interesting difference...our gators float with pretty much just their nostrils and eyes above the water. I wish I could attach a photo I took just this past Sunday.
Big enough for sure..There was one on our news just yesterday that was huge..looked prehistoric, moving very slowly..lots of picture takers..I would have been running. He was waist high when he was walking..DOn't know how long he was but he took up more than one lane of the street he was crossing..
They just had that gator on TV again. 16 feet long weighs ,1000 pounds .. prehistoric looking .guess I said that!. Next time I'll find out where he is .
Australian wildlife requires respect! That croc looks big to me.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! I hope you were far away and using a zoom lens.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Linda: these creatures only ever to be seen through a zoom lens!! :-)

ReplyDeleteReal wild wildlife!
ReplyDeleteNot my most favourite animal! When we lived in Rhodesia on the Hunyani River we often saw them too close for comfort!! Cheers Diane

ReplyDeleteNice croc! I would probably smile at a crocodile (from a safe distance) just as I do at alligators.
