I think back to a wooden cotton real, with four nail in the top and weaving wool around them and creating a spider-web effect until a long-long woven tail evolved through the hole in the cotton reel ....french-knitting it was called then. I'm sure P is enjoying this new-found craft and making everyone a bracelet maybe?
