Evening Skies / Bright Lights

As Sunday evening approached the bright lights and dark blue skies over the centre of Melbourne looked very appealing.

There was an "interactive sculpture" in Federation Square, but it was either not working that well, or I was expecting a little too much - either way I like the contrasts in these images.

You can find more skies at Sky Watch Friday.  SM

  15. No Stewart, roses are not supposed to bloom in June. It is PRUNE in June, flower in spring and autumn and in-between and go sleepy byes in winter.
Climate change has sped up so much that plants are confused. Our long, dry and super hot summers send deciduous shrubs into dormancy in summer and they flower after the first good autumn rain. We had little rain in autumn so they now don't know whether to go into growth or to sleep.
