While I was down at Point Cook this Biplane was doing some stunt flying.
Though a longish lens it looked so frail and delicate. I was also surprised that I was able to freeze the motion of the prop. Hard to believe how quickly the technology of flight has changed, even if the basics of wings remains the same.
You can find more skies at Skywatch Friday. SM
When my dog Lilica sees an airplane, a parachute or any flying object in the sky, she gets mad! She is always barking and jumping in the air, as if she could catch it!

ReplyDeleteHI Stewart Just to let you know that I did link in to WBW this week. I am number 7.
ReplyDeletegreat shot. They are so fun to watch.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite things to see in the sky, a plane! Fab shot!
ReplyDeleteMy netbook won't let me enlarge the photo. :( It looks like one of those old open cockpit planes. I always wondered what it would be like to go up in one of those, but I'm not sure if I'm brave enough to find out.
ReplyDeleteLove this photo Stewart, wouldn't it be great to fly in one of those planes?
ReplyDeleteNice photo! You are right about freezing the prop. That is pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, the plane does seem so fragile. It is really more like a bird than anything we are commonly using today, prop or not. And speaki9ng of prop...how neat you froze the motion! Beautiful red and blue photo!
ReplyDeleteI can feel the rush of the air....
