Australia Wildlife

Australian wildlife seems to come in three broad categories - the dangerous, the mythical and the strange.

When I was out and about this weekend I came across evidence of all three sorts!

You can find more shots from around the world at Our World Tuesday.  SM

  2. Hello Stewart, I like all the signs. It would be "neat" to see a unicorn. What is that critter, looks like a porcupine? Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!

  6. No doubt unicorns abound after a Saturday night in the pub.

  7. Haha, the mythical. They could have at least used bunyip instead of unicorn. Love the strange echidna. They are one of my favourites along with emus. I do like the weird ones. Thanks for the laugh.

  11. Stewart....Your post made my night. And you ended it with the porcupine...at least I think that is what it is. Watch out for snakes. Buddy was not surprised at that one. And the unicorn pasted onto the Give Way tickled me to death.

  13. You have many "strange" critters down under. I wouldn't be surprised if you had unicorns as well. :-)

  17. Is that creature in the last photo an echidna? Reminds me of either a very small porcupine or a very large hedgehog...if you crossed either one of those with a badger.
