Twas the
night before Christmas, when all thro' the house
not a creature was stirring,
not even a mouse.
But out on the wires over my garden this beast was making its presence known with its raucous call and general bad behaviour!
It's a Brush-Tailed Possum, probably on the way to stock up for Christmas on my vegetables!
It's the evening here, so my Christmas day is almost over, hope your day goes (is going) well! SM
A few beautiful pictures, especially the second.
ReplyDeleteI wish you a Merry Christmas, Stewart.
Best regards, Irma
Stewart, cool looking critter..Merry Christmas to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteStewart wat en moment geweldig. ook jij en je familie hele fijne gezellige kerstdagen.
ReplyDeleteHi Hope I have caught you before Christmas day is completely over. Stewart. Hope you have a great time with your family. great shots today.
ReplyDeleteIf he's not electrocuted first. :-)
ReplyDeleteNice shots! He is an interesting looking creature--very different from our possums here.
ReplyDeleteWell, he doesn't have antlers so it isn't one of Santa's raindeer. I assume Santa has already come and gone and you are still enjoying what he left behind ... so, as it is a day of giving, I think it is very nice that you chose to share some of your vegetable with this surly looking little critter. He is unlike anything we have here in the States, so once again I learn something new from you. You are always full of wonderous gifts, Stewart and I so appreaciate having you in my blogging life. You are on my Bucket list, so if I do make it to Australia, I hope we can become friends in the real world as well. Best Wishes to you and your wonderful Family and may the new year bring you a hundred "first sightings and even more perfect shots for WBW. Merry Christmas ...

ReplyDeleteCool captures!
ReplyDeletesuper cute! I love watching them balance on the electrical wires - they are quite the acrobats.
ReplyDeleteHe's definitely after something! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness that IS a possum! God grief -- he's kind of cute though I am sure you don't think so when he eats your garden. I know you had a wonderful family Christmas and wish you a Happy New Year, although with any luck at all I will be posting a bird thing this week finally~
ReplyDeleteI have all his relatives living up here...they play football on my roof each night.
ReplyDeleteCaught in the act! I can almost hear the music from Mission Impossible! :-)
