Jakarta Bay Fishing Boat

By the time this post hits the airwaves (so to speak) I will be well into more work related travel - and as per normal I have no idea when (or if) I will get to have a look at my blog.  It's so annoying how things like work get in the way of important things - like life!!

This is one of the many fishing boats that we encountered while we travelled out to the fish traps.

You can find more pictures from around the world here at Our World Tuesday.  SM

  1. Can just see the nets. Looks like a lot of work for a couple of fishermen. Enjoy your trip.

  5. Hello Stewart,

I was just writing on a postcard this morning on how grateful I am to be able to squeeze in a bit of my hobby when I'm traveling so much for work recently. I am a deltiologist and my collection is available in my blog. But then yes! I empathize with you - it's annoying when work get in the way of important things - like life! I didn't blog for almost a year, I tried to blog again but struggling a lot to post routinely in my page. Aside from that, oh that impact of work on life; just this morning I had to reschedule a personal appointment because I suddenly have to fly out this weekend!

Looking at the brighter side, traveling for work gives me invaluable experiences that I wouldn't trade for anything else. My challenge right now is to learn how to balance all these things that I love to do, both for my work and for my personal life.

Happy traveling and thanks for these photos from Jakarta Bay. I'm set to be there in the next two months. I hope I'll have the chance to see these fishing boats for myself when I visit. Please continue sharing nice photos here in your page whenever you have the chance. :)

    Your new blog follower,
    Maria

  8. Thanks for photos of things, people, places I will never be able to see for myself! I had forgotten that it is Winter there, until I saw how the fishermen were dressed. Hot Summer here in the US.
    Have a safe trip!

  12. After I posted the comment above about it being Winter there, I thought I had better look up Jakarta on a map. I discovered that Jakarta has a warm climate year-round. So I learned something new today!
    Thanks!
