Movement and bride
When I was in Sydney a couple of weeks ago I was playing with some long exposure shots of passing cars. The idea was to try to contrast the hectic life I was seeing around me with my own holiday pace. I'm not sure that it worked - but when I bride in her full wedding dress walked into the picture I just had to to keep going.
In the end I am rather pleased with this shot - and again its a bit different to my normal images. This one will need to be clicked on to been seen at its best.

ReplyDeleteinteresting shot...my geology past tics when I see carved slices of the earth. Now that granite is real history, eh?
ReplyDeleteWell, the ghostly bus is moving but everyone else looks like they are parked (all on the wrong side of the street, mind you :) . I love the carved out tunnel ... it looks ambitious, but dirty and damp, not a place I would expect to find a bride. I hope she wasn't walking away from the church:). All told, Stewart, you were in the right place at the right time ... seems like you have a habit of doing that. Great catch and awesome photo ... and yes, I do know that you drive on the opposite side of the street. In fact, I think everyone does. Obstinate Americans! Great post and quite a departure for you ...

Mission accomplished ... It is a part of vacation, noticing how others are stressed, rushed, and working while you are not ( or at least so I remember. Every day is vacation when you are old and retired).
