Lighthouse Skies (Friday Skies)

This is my attempt to do a sky shot that is not dominated by the sky. I think you can tell what is happening in the sky by the color of the lighthouse. There was a huge tide that evening - this shot was taken to the music of thundering waves.

The second shot show what was happening – straight into the sun is never the best idea, but I like the atmosphere.

You can find more Friday Skies here and the most recent post from my other blog by clicking the “Paying Ready Attention” link on the RHS of the screen.

I love lighthouses and this one is a beauty. The second shot really took my breath away! Really stunning capture, Stewart! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I often try taking shots straight into the sun to see how it turns out. and sometimes, like this example, it works beautifully!

Beautiful. I love the way the sun is bursting out from behind the hill.

Terrific shots. I like to shoot into the sun, it's always a surprise to see the photo that has been captured.
