Wild Bird Wednesday 191 - Brown Noddy

Yet more pictures from Lord Howe - I've been rather busy for much of the start of this year, so I'm glad I have a back catalogue to mine!

I'm just going to post these pictures today - and let them do the talking instead of me.

And now, for the 191st time, it's your turn.  Click on the blue button and off you go.

Interesting and different birds for me. (Not that seeing 'different' here is much of a surprise). Great action -- that one noddy is really giving 'what for' to the other in one picture! And the last with the stick (it looks like a tree for the poor bird to cart around).

I love the pose in that third shot. :)

There's little to add Stewart. A really smart looking bird. I suppose the nearest thing to Brown Noddy we have is our Black Tern.

No talking required Stewart. Now this is one bird I have never seen but would love it. These shots are superb. Thanks for hosting and as you can see I was able to link in myself. will be home later this week.

He's a very serious fellow in one of the shots. What a great trip that must have been.

Hi Stewart the pictures and the Noddy's had me enthralled. I love the courtship and the nest building images. As always your photos are brilliant. Thanks for hosting this meme. I'll link my post to yours tomorrow (Wednesday) Greetings Jo

I really had a good laugh at the 3rd photo Stewart. He/she was really giving you a look of disapproval for taking the photo. Must've got out of the wrong side of the nest & not have had his/her morning coffee yet.

Hello Stewart!:) A great looking bird! Seems like a lot of squawking going on over that stick. It has made one Noddy look very angry pic 3, in fact if looks could kill!!!:))

Oh my, a classic husband and wife team ... nag nag, dirty looks then settling into working together. What an amusing bird with all of it's many looks and actually a bit handsome as well. So where do you find the Brown Noddy? Yet another bird I am not familiar with ... I am beginning to realize my ignorance but will continue to explore and enjoy just the same :)

I really enjoyed the photos, that flying one is so great Stewart. And the close ups! Wow! I would like to know more about this brown noddy bird. It would be great to increase the birdy links here so have featured your blog on my blog. Also at Twitter will do something to my followers, I will tweet one of your postings or something and will put a thing on Facebook when I have time to link up more people to fly more birdies in here. As you can tell I really like this Bird Link Up Party.
