Passing through the Heads.

The entrance to Port Phillip Bay is called The Heads.  The Heads are narrow and generally full of things you don't want to run into if you are a boat!  We have spent a good number of excellent breaks in one of the towns on The Heads, Point Lonsdale.

I have done a lot more processing here than I normally do, as I was trying to get the feel of a postcard or some form of hyper-real holiday poster image.

Anyway, this is my friday post!

You can find more images at Sky Watch Friday.

Quite a different one for you. I'm not sure about that sky, I think the skies you have don't need much processing, they are beautiful enough.

Ahh, those marine colors are a sight for the eyes, as we fade into a pallet of gold in our part of the world. I think you did well achieving the post card feel!

Thank you for the postcard; the Heads look and sound like some of the waters in Florida...not navigatable by amateurs.

Great photo Stewart!
Compared to a lot of what I see these days, it doesn't look very processed at all.

Good work. Postcard-ish it is. Love to play in the breakers----if not too dangerous. MB
