I have a real fondness for the slight light at the ends of the day.
These are a couple of shots taken at the end of the day around the waterfront in Perth. I am often surprised how still you can hold a camera when you really try!
You can find more skies at Sky Watch Friday.

ReplyDeleteThe slight light at the end of the day is a beautiful thing indeed. Awesome captures Stewart.
ReplyDeleteVery good images these Stewart, would hold their own against most, well done bud.

Awesomely beautiful! I guess that's what they call the "Blue Hour" when the sky shows up such a beautiful indigo blue.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful way to end a day, Stewart! Wonderful captures and such blue, blue skies!! Have a great weekend!!
ReplyDeleteThese are nice.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh Stewart, these are awesome!
ReplyDeleteI like the little rosy glow on the horizon in the first shot, and the lights on the water in the second shot are magical.
I never use a tripod either, I have always wanted one, but it would be one more thing to lug around.
Very pretty! I find these night/evening shots so hard to take!
ReplyDeletethe dark, inky blue is really lovely.
ReplyDeleteFabulous! I like the second shot with the reflections in the water.
ReplyDeleteYes, I'd say you know how to hold your camera. Excellent images. The dark blue water is my favorite element of the scene.
ReplyDeletewat een heerlijke sfeer en dan die weerkaatsing in het water, geweldig.
ReplyDeleteHi Stewart You can tell you have not had a drink before taking these shots!!! The second shot is superb. Love the lights and reflections
ReplyDeleteI love that light!
ReplyDeleteLovely night shots! The reflections from the lighting is gorgeous. Have a happy weekend, Stewart!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I wish I could do that! (You lost me at holding the camera still.) Just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots Stewart, have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteSuch deep blues.
ReplyDeleteLovely twilight shots ~ divine photo ~ carol, ^_^
ReplyDeleteSure looks like you used a tripod ... beautiful and clear. Now I can be jealous because I have wrapped my arms around things, backed myself against things, pressed my camera on my face until it hurts and I still get a shaky shot. Is that because I am old or are you just that good? Darn, you are good!!! Love it, Stewart!
ReplyDeleteAndrea @ From The Sol
Excellent colors. Can't believe these are hand-held shots!!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, Stewart!
ReplyDeleteI'm always surprised as well.. I have good intentions, but never seem to remember to tote a tripod along with me anywhere I go. So I hold my breath. I brace myself. I do all kinds of tricks.. and if I'm really lucky, once in a while I get a shot to turn out almost as nicely as yours!!
Wonderful evening photos, Stewart.
ReplyDeleteGreetings Irma
You must have an incredibly steady hand . The colours are breathtaking as are the reflections.
ReplyDeleteFabulous photos! such a great photographer
ReplyDeleteRegards

ReplyDeleteYou are such a terrific photographer.
ReplyDeleteIs that your expertise as a job?
Love the light in these! :)
ReplyDeleteI can't hold my camera that still anymore. I need a tripod, but don't want to carry it around.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos Stewart!
