Corella Sky

I took these pictures last weekend, as a flock of Little Correlas flew over Ruffy Park Lake.

I liked the way they seemed to define the sky with their wings.

You can find more skies at SkyWatch Friday.

Today is ANZAC day in Australia - so I won't be doing much blogging - replies will be delayed.

We could do nothing better than to protect the worlds children from the horror of war.   SM

It looks as though someone has just thrown them into the air.

they're unmistakable when out flying in a flock aren't they? So noisy, but not easy to capture; they're like fighter jets!

A sky dance, I'm fascinated of the swarm behavior of such bird flocks; great photos.

Beautiful pictures. Anzac Day is a lovely way to remember the bravery of your country's soldiers (so young) and your last sentence says it all.

Great images Stewart!

That's quite a flock of corellas. Lately, I have noticed corellas and galahs gathered on the grassy areas near many roads I use for travelling to work.

It is not easy to capture all those birds circling in the sky. Well done!
