P is spending most of her spare time with the new latest and greatest thing - a Band-a-Loom.
Its basically weaving with small elastic bands. I rather like the abstract patterns they make.

a popular gadget i've seen on other blogs, too. :)
ReplyDeleteMy daughter has the same type of thing, except her loom is a rectangle. She's made a bunch of bracelets.
ReplyDeleteWhat will they think of next? My generation did it all with basic throw aways like cotton reels and nails.
ReplyDeleteYep! My granddaughter has made a ton of bracelets with this thing. I think I have about 10 of them.
ReplyDeleteamazing the new ideas that come up. I think back to a wooden cotton real, with four nail in the top and weaving wool around them and creating a spider-web effect until a long-long woven tail evolved through the hole in the cotton reel ....french-knitting it was called then. I'm sure P is enjoying this new-found craft and making everyone a bracelet maybe?
ReplyDeleteLooks like a neat gadget! I am sure P is having fun making bracelets! have a happy week!
