These Silver Gulls seemed very interested in out sandwiches last weekend. But like all opportunists, they could not help but keep an eye open for other sources of food!
These are our most common gull in Australia – they are the typical chip stealers that we know and love!
You can find more birds from around the world at World Bird Wednesday.
You can also see the most recent post on my other blog by clicking the Paying Ready Attention picture on the RHS of the screen.

Seriously though I think Gulls make the most amazing images, they always seem to be very photogenic
They're prettier than the gulls on the Oregon Coast, with those lovely red legs -- but sounds like they share all the personality traits.
ReplyDeleteWhat clowns! Those poses seemed rehearsed, like a vaudeville act. Too funny.
ReplyDeleteCheers to you Stewart!
They are adorable and so funny! I loved seeing those red legged gulls in Australia; they look like they are wearing lipstick and red tights :-))

At Victor Harbour they are literally 'in your face' and steal your food as you are about to put it into your mouth! No wonder they have signs urging people not to feed the beggars.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots Stewart!!
ReplyDeleteI love the way the Silver Gulls pose for the camera!!! I have some wonderful shots from a recent visit to Brisbane Southbank & more from a visit to Redcliffe.
Chip stealer's is right!! As soon as they think you may have food it's like an invasion!!!
Looking forward to your shots of the Peninsula! :)
