Wonderful, moody, gray skies and a great capture! Yes, I like to see rain in the distance -- preferably!! We get more than enough of the "close-up" wet stuff! Enjoy your weekend, Stewart!!
I take it you've been getting more rain than you need lately! Always captivating to see a storm like this at a distance, though - rather invigorating, too! (A bit too invigorating if you're out there on a boat, though!)
This is a gorgeous photo! But what thrilled me was to see the little oyster boat. It is exactly like the deadrise boats used in the Chesapeake Bay. My husband's ancestors farmed and oyster-fished in the summer, and built these boats in the winter. The connection between all boatmen I see spans the world!
really dark skies; I wouldn't fancy sitting out on the water with the threat of storms imminent. Great capture Stewart
ReplyDeleteOoh I don't like those dark clouds. That's enough to make me hoist anchor and head to shore. Great shot!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo, bad sky.
ReplyDeleteI really like the moodiness to this photo. Nicely done!

But, I'd be HAPPY as a pig in a mudhole to have the rain come here.
