Christmas is winter does really feel appropriate - even after 25 years in Australia, hot weather (and it is really, desperately hot there at present) at Christmas seems wrong!
So, I've headed North - and here are a few pictures from my wanderings around the streets of Paris. And wandering is what I have had to do as there is a transport strike on at present. No Metro!

You can find more shots from around the world at Our World Tuesday. As we approach a busy time of year replies may be a bit slower than normal! Cheers SM
Welcome to Paris Stewart ! This city has welcomed me since I was born. I left it five years ago to go to the forest, wow......
ReplyDeleteIt is the time of the big strikes in France, be careful:-)
I wish you a pleasant stay. Nice pictures of Paris.
My regards to you.
I love Paris - such fun for Christmas! Let's hope you get a decent frost at least.
ReplyDeleteBeing in Paris without the Métro must be a serious disadvantage. It must greatly restrict where you can get to. Everyone looks fabulous in the picture and I am sure you will all have a memorable visit. Bonne chance et bon voyage, mes amis. À l'année prochaine à Melbourne.
ReplyDeleteThe market selections are great looking! Enjoy your trip!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love the photos!! Incredible photography!
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday!

ReplyDeleteAll the best.

ReplyDeleteStewart, these are fantabulous shots! It is a delight to see your skills applied in areas beyond birds (not that we ever tire of those!!!) I gotta say, six years in, I still miss the Aussie summer Christmas experience, but then, I am a tropical kinda bird!!! Have fun you all. YAM xx
My word, your kids are growing up so fast!! Lovely family you've got there. Merry Christmas to all of you. Sure glad we had transport when we were in Paris in May.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and family! What a beautiful place to spend the season.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful vacation for the holidays. My daughter was there in mid-November with her husband. We enjoyed seeing here photos but they had the benefit of Metro to get around.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas.

ReplyDeleteArtful images, Stewart!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to France but not a good time with the strikes at the moment. Hope you manage to get around. From the great photos it looks like you are doing fairly well. Cheers Diane
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. I was there in Paris almost one year ago. It was warmer there than where I live in winter. What was your favourite part?
ReplyDeleteZupełnie inne spojrzenie od dotychczasowych. Targ, widok z okna, widok w kuli. Świetne! Byłam tam wiele lat temu...
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! Love the final picture. I hope things cool down quickly.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos of Paris, it was al long time ago I were there.
