Rail Crossing - SkyWatch Friday

I was out for a short walk around my local area on Sunday, and paused at the rail-crossing. The sky was a classic Australian blue, with big fluffy clouds. What caught my eye was the way the rail barrier seemed to be pointing it out for me. It looked like a big finger saying “look at this” – so I did and this is the result.

You can see more pictures of skies from around the world at SkyWatch Friday.

You can find the latest post to my other blog by clicking on the Paying Ready Attention image on the RHS of the screen.

Enjoy the skies!

  2. The boom gate certainly enhances the sky and vice versa.

  4. Good eye Stewart! We have those fluffy clouds here in Florida -- the weather people call them 'fair-weather clouds' and we love them, having been more used to the opposite kind of clouds when we lived in Oregon.

  10. Yes, that's a lovely shot, the barrier is very long but colorful. I think i often see them as black and orange, not red as yours!
