Pieman River 4 - Gum (boot) Tree

Much as I try and take photography seriously - I can't resist I visual gag when I find one.

This tree was 'growing' in the garden of the huts that cluster around the mouth of the Pieman River.

This is clearly a Gum(boot) Tree!

Although, I think if it was in the UK it would be Wellingtonia!

You can find more shots from around the world at Our World Tuesday.

  4. Hi Stewart,
This is very nice to see.
All boots to hang on the branches of the tree.
    Best regards, Irma

I wonder if the tree's soul is groaning. Poor guy.

  15. I was going to try to be clever also and say the tree was a "gum-shoe" which is another word for a detective, but there are really no shoes...just rubbers, or wellington boots. :-) Oh well, I think you were the clever one. Cute post!
