These are some shots of an Intermediate Egret (I think) in some rather nice late afternoon / evening light.
I saw this bird on a cruise around Yellow Water, which is a fabulous area of the Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory, Australia.
I like the way the light is catching the outstretched feathers.

Egrets are serious posers. I love your hightlights.
Hello, pretty egrets and lovely captures of the feathers in the sunlight. Happy Monday, enjoy your day and new week ahead!
Your lighting captures on this beauty is wonderful!
That kind of light contributes to very atmospheric shots.
You captured some great light on this egret!
Interesting how the feathers were unfurled letting the light through. Lovely.
Great shots, Stuart. Love that backlighting.
The light is stunning in this photo shoot. What a cooperative model you have here!
Love these shots and the lighting is perfect, well done. Diane
You just LIKE the way the light is catching the outstretched feathers ... these are gorgeous. You should blow at least one if not all of them up and frame them. Do you have any of your magnificent pictures hanging on your walls at home? If you don't, you should. Maybe even do a show or sell them in a gallery. These are among you best, Stewart.
