This week Melbourne achieved the unenviable distinction of being the town that has spent the longest time in lock down as a result of you know what. A while ago in an attempt to raise my spirits, I collated all the pictures of Kingfishers I had taken and shared them a day at a time on Facebook. People seemed to like them, so here is the collection.

ReplyDeleteI really enjoy kingfishers but our are plain compared to yours! That second last one is exceptionally beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI am so pleased you included the UK one as I am a huge fan. I have seen one a few times. Well truth be known I have seen the iridescent blue flash as it speeds past. Hope you get your freedom back soon.
ReplyDeleteWhat a collection! I feel deprived as we have only one local species. Did pick up two more once on a trip to south Texas.
