How to Train your Dragon

My kids are the perfect age to love the current crop of animated films - and recently there was an exhibition of some of the drawings and models used in the production of the films.

I did not take many pictures, but this is one of my favourites, as it seems to be a different angle from most.

I can remember when I went so see the original Toy Story and we were laughed at by the person taking the tickets as we were about the only couple there with no kids - so maybe the love of these films says as much about me as it does about the age of my kids!  Who knows.

I've not had children. Years ago, back in the 80s my ex and I decided to go and see the "KISS" movie...we were fans of the band at the time...we went to a Saturday afternoon matinee at an old, restored picture theatre at Pomona, in the Noosa hinterland...we lived at Noosa at the time....we were the only "adults" there that afternoon...but it fun! ;)

The movie was terrible, though! lol

You're a child at heart, Stewart (which is a great thing!). Great perspective on that photo.

Awesome shot. I still love animated films even as an adult. I wish they would make a sequel to Finding Nemo.

Nothing wrong with being young at heart. We watch all of the animated films and your dragon picture is of one of our favorites. We started watching them with our Granddaughter and when she thought she had out grown them, we were still watching (and enjoying) them. I love animation and am so impressed with the talent and technology that goes into making things seem so real. Love this post, Stewart.

Kids and their fantasy worlds--they help us re-live our own childhoods! Because we WANT to live our own childhoods. That's why we go see animated films with no kids in tow! :-)
