School Sky 2 - Skywatch Friday
Another school event, another evening sky. There was only the thinnest line of colour in sky when we came out of the musical evening.
But the texture in the clouds more than made up for the lack of colour.
I get the feeling anybody who says that dark clouds are grey needs to take a second look!
You can also see the most recent post on my other blog by clicking the Paying Ready Attention picture on the RHS of the screen.
Enjoy the skies.

Beautiful series of sky shots. I love the first with the tiny bit of color and the last shot with the moon capture. Happy Skywatching, Stewart!ReplyDelete
Great stewart. It is always a good idea to take a long hard look at the sky, even when there is only for . . .ReplyDelete
beautiful sky. lovely.ReplyDelete
We're so conditioned by the 'right' colours for objects - clouds are grey, trees are green, the sky is blue! All true - but not always!! Unless you've been playing with photoshop, of course ....!!ReplyDelete
those are beautiful!ReplyDelete
Very expressive clouds and a lovely moon catch! Cloudy days are better for sky watching than just plain blue (and better yet than just plain gray).ReplyDelete
To answer your comment on FT-L, yes there are lots of fish in our waters -- River and Ocean.
Awesome skies, Stewart! There is so often surprising beauty if we take the that little bit of extra time to look! Happy SWF! Hope you have a great weekend!ReplyDelete
Love the second.
Have a great weekend.
Wonderful images Stewart you really do live in a lovely place...ReplyDelete
Cold, wet and very very windy in the UK at the moment.. and a few floods in Cumbria.
Stormy skies are beautiful!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.ReplyDelete
Beautiful. I can just about imagine God wielding a paint brush thick with a mixture of black and white oil paints angrily splashing it across the sky.ReplyDelete
So good these pictures of skies! I love it!ReplyDelete
Great captures Stewart - especially like the dramatic 2nd shot. You're right - there is beauty all around us if only we seek it. Happy weekend.ReplyDelete
Love the rosy glow Stewart! Beautiful dramatic captures.ReplyDelete
moody skies indeedReplyDelete
Mysterious skies! Well captured.ReplyDelete
Wow, skies on steroids! Excellent photos and great post.ReplyDelete
Love that second shot, skies are never grey - it's just the eyes that are grey!ReplyDelete
Oh, those clouds are just wonderful!ReplyDelete
Ominous clouds make for beautiful photographs, Stewart! Well captured.ReplyDelete
Stewart those are some truly dramatic clouds moving over~ReplyDelete
Dramatic and beautiful!ReplyDelete
Gorgeous captures of that dramatic sky!ReplyDelete
That's an awesome sky, so dramatic. Great shots!ReplyDelete
I'm behind on returning comments right now. Re. the storm shots I posted last Tuesday: that's an automatic light house. The stairs are there for inspection purposes. Wouldn't it be awesome to be able to be inside it during a storm!
Amazing shot indeed :) Great burning looks on the horizon, and the crowd of the clouds make it something "happening" there!ReplyDelete
Oh, my...these are wonderful. These photos just fill my eyes--which is the greatest compliment I can give.ReplyDelete
Your skies are gorgeous!ReplyDelete
Great skies, Stewart! The clouds are brilliant.ReplyDelete
I managed to capture some of my favourite sunsets for Skywatch Friday... the beach & boats just set it off... and the lovely weather that day (shame about the rest of the weekend... and missing the lunar eclipse was a shame)
