A hidden Jaguar

This is the start of a busy - and hopefully very enjoyable -  two weeks.  Work, travel and a triathlon all coming together at more or less the same time (and before people collapse in amazement, its H who is doing the triathlon, not me!)

I will attempt to reply to comments - but don't hold your breath!

I have watched this Jaguar slowly become more and more hidden in the bushes as the years have gone past.  I walk past it on the journey home.  Much as I am not real fan of petrol guzzling sport cars, the slow extinction of this big cat seems rather sad!

You can find more macro type shots at Macro Monday 2 and I Heart Macro.

Cheers.  SM

  5. Wow that cat is becoming one with the earth. Before you know it, critters will be making a home in there!

  6. What a shame they haven't even protected it from the elements. Enjoy your two weeks. Surprised you're not supporting 'H' by running, cycling and swimming alongside him!

  7. I am impressed with "H" ... a tri- athlete ... you must be bursting with pride. I am not surprised, however, that you aren't running, swimming and cycling beside him ... I think enjoying it as a spectator is the wise thing to do ... unless, of course, you have the time to condition yourself for it. We can appreciate your need to focus on other things beside our comments. I am just glad you are out there having a good time and carrying your camera with you which will provide us with future great Stewart posts ... Like a Jaguar being swollowed my nature ... like you I'm not a fan of sports cars, but I don't think an expensive car like that deserves the neglect. Be well, Stewart and enjoy your busy, fun weeks.

  10. That's a bit sad Stewart, you know, and I know, there are thousands of lads/blokes over here, that would spend many a happy hour restoring that little bute.
    All the best Gordon.

  12. Looks like a neat car at one time, now just yard art for the passing photographer.

  13. Does seem kind of sad and strange to let a nice car like this go to waste! Oh, and have fun in Arizona! Hope you are able to fit in some desert photography.

We didn't get any snow although it fell all around us and the hill behind us got some. I am glad though. MB

  22. Good luck to your triathlete and have a wonderfu vacation. Agree with you and all the comments about the sad fate of the once beautiful car. But it's a great photo op and if they ever move it you'll feel like you've lost a landmark!

  23. It does seem like a shame to let it just disappear. Lovely photo though.
