Party Sky

OK, it's summer - Melbourne got to 39.3 degree c today.  Thats 103 degrees in the old money!

However, this is a picture from a much cooler weekend party - which was not for my birthday!

This is from just outside Buninyong, near Ballarat a couple of hours away from Home.

I have to say this is a much better view than I have!

More views from around the world at Sky Watch Friday.

  1. You've got summer, and winter is just starting here; although not with a vengeance yet! Wanna swap? lol

    Lovely view.

  2. You can just tell it's much cooler in that photo ... the thought of crisp air has me drooling as I sit a little further west from you in what was 43 degree heat! Praise be it's now cooled down - to 39.9!

  4. Beautiful picture Stewart.
Here it is winter, but not really cold, now it is 7 degrees, which is too warm for this time.
So warm 39.3 degrees, I should not think, much too hot for me.

  7. I've been wanting to lie in a field and stare at the sky while listening to music on my headphones lately - that looks like the perfect place! Alas, I may have to find somewhere closer to home...

  11. So you are too hot and I am too cold and never the twain shall meet ... What ever happened to moderation. Is there now middle ground anymore? Now this picture looks like middle ground ... cool, inviting soft hills and a beautiful blue sky with sweeps of clouds ... ahhh, to die for. Thanks, Stewart, you almost restored my faith ... except it is below "0" here. Have a great week ...

  17. Gorgeous summer scenery. I don't mind the heat (that's why we're here), but that's getting up there to a little bit ridiculous!
