Marco Monday - Living in the past / Red Clover.

This has been one of my favourite pictures for a very long time.  I think it’s due to the angle of the shot.  I was lead flat on my stomach in the middle of an abandoned railway line in the middle of Chilcompton when I took this picture.  It was the 30th May 1981. Slide film, bellows and a fully manual camera.  A good deal has changed since then, but I still like the picture.

You can find macro shots of a more current nature at Macro Monday.

You can find the latest post to my other blog by clicking the Paying Ready Attention image on the RHS of the page.

Enjoy the close ups.

  2. Yes, I like it too and not such an easy capture in the 'old way'.

  6. Lovely shot. There is nothing like film, and manual settings. I used to use a Nikon FM2 before getting into digital, and I miss it.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.

  8. A beautiful shot Stweart!
Most people think of clover as weeds but I love it for photographing.

  9. Wow this is an oldie, but as was said here, a goodie as well. So much has changed since the 80s, I love that we only process what we like and get to save a lot of money this way. Great shot of clover, the song "Crimson and Clover" just entered my mind... I used to listen to that song over and over again.

Cheers, have a wonderful week Stewart!

  14. I like it, too. Good pictures are goo, regardless of their age or the technology used to capture them!
